General Rules
At The Namakkal Teachers Vidhyaashram Matric Higher Secondary School, every student is expected to uphold the values and regulations that form the foundation of a disciplined and respectful learning environment. The following general rules must be followed strictly by all students:
Students must wear the prescribed school uniform on all school days and during all official school functions. The sports uniform must be worn every Wednesday without fail. Uniforms must be clean, well-ironed, and worn with pride. Personal hygiene, neat grooming, and tidiness in appearance and belongings are essential.
Wearing of jewellery, including rings, chains, bangles, or fancy accessories, is strictly prohibited. Students are also not permitted to exchange money, gifts, or conduct any transactions with other students within the school campus.
Each student is solely responsible for the safety of their personal items. The school does not accept responsibility for any lost, stolen, or misplaced belongings, including books, bags, stationery, or tiffin boxes.
Writing on walls, desks, or benches, scribbling on doors, or dirtying classrooms and corridors is strictly forbidden. Vandalism or intentional damage to any school property will be considered a serious offence. If any article is damaged, students/parents will be required to compensate for the same as decided by the Principal.
Students must consistently strive to reflect high moral conduct and spiritual values in their behavior. Respectful language, compassionate actions, and responsible decision-making are expected from every pupil.
The school reserves full right to dismiss any student on grounds of:
- Irregular attendance
- Continuous disobedience to teachers
- Malpractices during exams or activities
- Disrespectful or objectionable behavior within school or outside
Such actions are taken in the interest of maintaining school discipline and a positive learning environment.
No special or retest examinations will be conducted for students who remain absent without prior permission. Exams must be attended as per the official schedule, and no exceptions will be made. All academic and administrative rules are subject to revision at the discretion of the school management.
Students who avail of the school transport service must board the bus on time from their designated pick-up points. Any misbehavior or violation of bus rules may result in suspension of transport privileges.
Bringing mobile phones or any electronic gadgets to school is strictly prohibited. If any student is found in possession of such items, it will be confiscated immediately and may not be returned. Severe disciplinary action will follow, including suspension, if this rule is violated.
By following these general rules, students contribute to a well-disciplined, respectful, and value-driven learning environment that upholds the school’s ideals and traditions.
